Flip-chip

Also: flip-chip LED

A flip-chip LED is mounted ‘inverted’ on the board, with the contacts facing directly downward instead of via bond wires. That gives a smaller construction, better heat dissipation and higher reliability, favourable for fine pixel pitch and COB and micro-LED applications.
