IMD (Integrated Mounted Device), also called ‘N-in-1’, brings several pixels together in one small package (e.g. four-in-one or six-in-one). It enables very fine pixel pitch (down to about P0.4, with P0.7 in mass production), with the advantage that the packages can be individually tested and sorted. It bridges SMD and COB.
