Luminance contrast

Luminance contrast determines both the legibility and the conspicuity of a screen. Internal contrast is the ratio between the bright content and the dark background of the screen itself; external contrast is the ratio between the screen and its surroundings. A black housing and black LED packages increase the internal contrast, even in bright light.
