- The largest model in the 4000 series: a 183 cm display with 3.840 pixels in 4096 colours
- Long messages on 1 or 2 lines (30 or 40 characters) with text, photos and animations
- Maximum visibility in large rooms and halls (1300 nits)
- Modern integration via Ethernet — through the Alpha protocol or the Ooh!Media software; RS-232/RS-485 for backwards compatibility (AlphaNet)
Less suitable for
- Outdoor installation — this is an indoor display (1300 nits)
- Smaller rooms — for a narrower format choose the Alpha 4200 RGB (152 cm)

4096 colours with text, photos and animations. Per screen 1 line (30 characters, 114 mm high) or 2 lines (40 characters, 53 mm) on a 183 cm display — the largest model in the 4000 series.
Can I connect the Alpha 4240 RGB to my existing system?
Yes. The recommended connection is Ethernet: linking through the Alpha protocol to your network and applications, or management via the Ooh!Media software. RS-232 and RS-485 remain available for backwards compatibility through AlphaNet.
Is the Alpha 4240 RGB suitable for outdoor or industrial environments?
This is an indoor display (1300 nits). For dusty or humid (industrial) spaces there is the IP52 version. For genuine outdoor applications we recommend a display with higher brightness and an outdoor enclosure — feel free to contact us.
