Best choice for
- Full-colour image at greater viewing distance: 23 mm pixel pitch with large character height, legible even from afar
- Large facades and high-visibility locations along the road
- Bright daylight: 6.500 nit with 10 dimming levels
- Permanent outdoor installation: corrosion-resistant aluminium, front serviceable, −40 °C to +50 °C
Less suitable for
- Short reading distance or fine detail: then choose the finer Excite 16 mm
- Text or a counter only: a single-line Alpha is cheaper for that
Typical applications
- Large outdoor advertising along access and main roads
- Facade communication that must be legible from afar
- Sponsoring and branding on a large scale
Frequently asked questions
How do I control the Excite 23 mm?
Via Ethernet (TCP/IP) is the recommended way to control it: directly on your network, with remote management of content and scheduling.
Why 23 mm instead of 16 mm?
A coarser pixel pitch gives larger characters and a greater viewing distance. At the same resolution the screen becomes physically larger, ideal when visitors view it from afar.
Does the image stay legible in full sun?
Yes. 6.500 nit with 10 dimming levels and a reflection-free front (no plexi) ensure legibility day and night.
Can the display stay outdoors permanently?
Yes. Front serviceable corrosion-resistant aluminium, operating from −40 °C to +50 °C and 0 % to 95 % humidity.
